I noticed this post on X – Ethan Lazuk shared screenshot of Google Discover feed showing a card saying “New ways to shop every store in one place” and a blue background “Try now” clicking which takes to new AI Shopping Experience. Also recently I tried this new AI Shopping Experience and shared my experience.

Google is showing “Also nearby” callout label in “Popular products” search feature recently. Google has been showing “Nearby ..distance.. km” labels like “Nearby 4 Km” for months I don’t know when they started to show these labels. But “Also nearby” is something which I’m noticing recently, not sure if its new or been around for a while.

Right now “People also buy from” is displayed as a vertical list showing three brands & a “More options” button at bottom to load more brand names. But now Google testing showing this as a horizontal cards list looks like Top Stories UI. Also I’m noticing this in desktop search results only for now, if I notice in mobile or other variation of this I will post on X. PS – Earlier today I posted about this test on X too.

Google dynamically loading “Save your favourite brands” and “Popular from your favourite brands” carousels as user scrolls down in search results. I posted screen recordings on X showing this in Search Results. Also note that these aren’t new search features, these have been around for a while but Google dynamically loading these as user scrolls through is something that I have noticed for first time.

Google in Search Results is now testing showing a little carousel “Mentioned products” below Reddit comments. Sachin Patel posted this on X, He also shared a screen recording of search results. Also last month I noticed Google showing “Related to this article” below cards in Discover feed. I think this “Mentioned products” is similar to that, but in case of Discover Google is pulling product info out of article and for Reddit its most likely product names which are being discussed in the conversation thread.

Google now testing showing See also in Image Search Results its not exactly a new thing because Google has been testing See also in Knowledge Panels since August.

Google Business Profile now testing new UI for showing reviews. New test UI have a greyish background and each review is like a rounded corners rectangular card. This is how current one looks.

“Mentioned in the news” in Search Results, I first spotted this back in August and posted on X Recently I’m noticing that Google is testing some adjustments to this and now clicking any name in carousel takes to new results and these have News/Mentioned carousel at top of search results which can be used by users for switching between different names – this updates the search results according to selected name.

Things to Know snippets in Search Ressults show a quick description but now Google is generating that description using AI. Sachin Patel posted a video of this on X (Twitter) showing snippets are generated using AI.

Google is currently testing a new card called “Top 10 This Week” for “things to do” related queries. Vijay Chauhan spotted this new layout in the UK search, and seeing these results in the USA as well. It combines event data and GMB information in the card.

Google is now testing adding review filters in Store Ratings Panels. Based upon the selected filter it shows relevant reviews and 0 to 100 percent value as a bar UI. Here is comparison of how it looks now and what the test is.

Circle to Search now testing showing all the usual tabs but only couple of them are clickable. Now it just shows All, Products, Visual Matches and About this image but in this test it’s showing others like Web, Video, Shopping …… but these aren’t clickable as of now.

Google App beta rollout on 15th October for Android devices have sticky & floating search bar in Discover feed. It’s not sure thing if Google will roll it out to stable version of app. Also previously Google has tested this for some users. But testing in beta program is for first time I think.

Google now testing making Top Quality Store badge clickable, if clicked it shows “Top Quality Stores provide a great shopping experience” and clicking “Learn more” takes to ‘About the Top Quality Store badge page‘.

Google is now testing showing related topics carousel, it shows search queries cards and clicking any leads to new search results for that query. This in search results for query ‘seo’

Google in Search Results is now testing showing Title Favicon Site Name • URL Different from what we have now, previously also Google has done similar tests …. But nothing was rolled out to users.

Google App on Android now beta testing transparent transition for Discover feed. New beta update on Pixel devices arrived last week on 2nd Oct. This update has some other useful features too.

Google now testing adding “Videos from this business” in Store Ratings panels. This shows videos posted by eCom site across their social accounts – Insta, FB, TikTok.

Google is now testing minor change in Knowledge Panels in desktop search results. Right now the whole description of Wikipedia text is not clickable but in this test they are changing it to clickable + grey background for it.

Google testing showing “What people are saying” instead of it being “Recent posts”. This new carousel shows recent content which was posted by users on different social media platforms.

Google is now testing showing YouTube videos in Knowledge Panels along with images. The top scrollable carousel in Knowledge Panels these days has images only but now Google testing adding some YouTube videos there as well.

Google App is testing “From your notification” these days. Here is another variation I noticed this one today – “More updates for you” shows Top Stories like cards but it’s Search queries and clicking any takes to search results but not any specific article.
