  1. Google Search query limited to 32 words will change this year (2025) and rather Google will campaign to tell people that they can ask it whatever they like, no matter how long query is.
  2. Google will share some information about optimising for AI Overviews.
  3. Google will provide more guidance around AI cotnent and if publishers use it or not.
  4. Opinionated content will win in 2025!
  5. Google in its search results to launch more AI surfaces which will potentially lead to lesser clicks for sites and more people staying in the results itself.
  6. I guess in 2025 Google either will classify digital PR links as spam (least likely) or will put out something saying, moving forward those links will not be considered in the ranking equation when Google is assessing webpages to rank.
  7. I think Google to create some rich results like incentives to have more unique content on product pages. Right now the same product sold on different websites is just a similar description but we will see Google creating incentives to add more content on those products pages.

    For their Gemini and other AI surfaces to work well and create an amazing answer for product comparison queries – Google requires more unique content on product pages of websites.

    Only way to make that happen is to create some search rankings or in case of it’s AI Surfaces – some visibility incentives that encourages site owners to have more unique information on product pages.
  8. Starkly different content and standalone treatment is something I’m super excited about going into 2025. I hope that Google will roll this out at scale and hopefully will let us know too when these systems are fully deployed.
