I posted this video on LinkedIn last week, below is the transcript of this.

All right, guys. All right, LinkedIn. I just wanted to discuss one thing which is really important these days, that whenever I am being contacted for any SEO audit, the part of the, that SEO audit is me telling you that SEO is not the right solution for your business.

I know that may sound weird, given that you are contacting me for SEO services, assuming that I am an SEO consultant who will be able to help you achieve your goals and rank better in Google search results.

I totally understand that. I respect that you are contacting me, but the real thing is that I do charge for my audits, which of course everyone should charge for their services, but it may come to a conclusion that SEO is not the right solution for you.

And I’m not saying this lightly. I’m saying this based upon the current clients that I am working with. And the here is a thing that the, in last six to eight months, the search results have been insane.

The ranking have been changing continuously. Google has been adjusting their algorithm almost every weekend, and you can go to Semrush Sensor and check it over there as well.

It has been as high as eight and nine for like last seven, eight months, which shows that the ranking of the URLs for different keywords is changing almost every second day.

So what is happening now is that, given you want to achieve a certain goal with SEO, I’m recommending you to just get the basics right and hire someone, or me if you want to, on an hourly basis rather than the retainer basis, and allocate the rest of the budget to other resources, like maybe doing ads, or maybe doing Facebook ads, or maybe, maybe hiring an influencer on TikTok, because the goals that can be achieved with SEO three years or four years back can no longer be achieved.

It’s not because of the skill issue that any SEO has better skills or or not.

Well that is not the case. It’s just a Google issue because they are making so frequent changes that you cannot have sustained conversion out of your SEO retainer.

So if you are, let’s say, spending 1250 or 1600 a month on SEO, there is no clarity. I cannot give you a particular guarantee that this is what the ranking is today.

This might change the next day. It’s not because your competitors are getting really good in SEO.

It’s just because Google is making changes, and we cannot do anything about it.

So if you want predictable traffic, predictable conversions out of SEO, that realistically is not possible these days, especially if you are in small to medium size business category.

And the another thing is you should try to allocate your budget on other marketing channels, like Google Ads, if that is something possible for you. But remember I don’t do Google Ads, so it might be worth reaching out to some other guys who are doing Google Ads. So I just wanted to share this quick update and let me know if you have any questions.
