Site Reputation Abuse Manual Actions aren’t global yet in Jan 2025?

Since March 2024 Google had double downed on Site Reputation Abuse (I created a timeline of events) and in November 2024 have issued Manual Actions for the likes of Forbes & have removed their otherwise parasite content from its search results. At the same time Google is quite strict on lifting the manual actions for the sites which got it for abusing this policy. That’s why Google is asking for broad editorial practices change to lift these site reputation abuse manual actions.

Since Google doubling down on this in Nov a lot has happened and I wrote complete summary of everything here.

Going into 2025 – as I wrote in my 2024 SEO Wrap I’m expecting Google to do more Manual Actions specifically for site abusing the policy outside the US search results.

Also at the same time algo for site reputation abuse, which previously Google said that its not coming any time soon and if & when it will Google confirmed they will announce it.

I hope that gets rolled out soon and all the parasite SEO spam ranking in search results in different countries stop showing up in the search results. But nowadays some parasite sites which got removed from Google Search due to violation of this policy are coming back again. I recently wrote about this sharing examples of some Market Watch and US News properties which back in Nov 2024 were removed from Google Search are coming back.

Its 12 Jan already and there’s nothing from Google yet. I’m still waiting and hoping that soon Google takes some global action against Site Reputation Abuse.
