Yesterday via this post on X from Marty Swant I got to know about this ainvest.com! In his Marty shared a screenshot of Top Stories in which this site was showing up.

After doing some quick scanning of their pages, I noticed its mostly AI generated content but still its ranking. And the most recent traffic graph for this site via Semrush is crazy uptick.

But for Google Discover as I confirmed with 1492.vision which is a tracking tool keeping an eye on what Google is showing in Discover feeds of users. This specific site isn’t getting much visibility in Discover though.

And also today I used Originality AI’s content detector and for all the pages from this site which I checked its saying 100% likely AI generated content.

Is there any SEO risk – publishing AI generated content at scale? yes there is some risk to it because Google’s Scaled Content Abuse spam policy say “Using generative AI tools or other similar tools to generate many pages without adding value for users” which essentially means using tools like GPT APIs and publishing a lot of content without adding value isn’t right.

And personally over the months I’ve noticed sudden drops in rankings of sites because they were publishing AI generated content at scale without adding any value. For Google to actually pick this up and go ahead to hit a site it does take sometimes though.

But at the same time there can be a balanced approach to it too – AI generated content combined with Humans to scale up the content but that’s a really effort work (of course need more resources) to actually scale operationally.

And for doing this just following through a checklist kind of approach is something which I don’t recommend and that’s the reason why I’ve not shared anything like here is my “checklist on how to use AI generated content” because there isn’t any one fit all approach to this.

Let’s see what specifically happens with this ainvest.com site – a manual action or not? or probably some algorithmic penalty!

but heeeyyyy! I mean Google isn’t doing what they are telling others to do regarding AI generated content 😂😂

Also Edward Sturm have posted this video talking about this site and AI generated content. He talked about sudden traffic growth, AI content strategy, EEAT, AInvest focusing on strong brand building and utilising a proper methodical approach to grow the site traffic.

Key Points that Edward talked about in this video!

Massive Traffic Growth
The video highlights the website ainvest.com, which saw its organic traffic explode from approximately 275,000 monthly visitors in late June 2025 to over 5.5 million by mid-August 2025, following a Google core update (June 2025 Core Update which led to partial recovery of Helpful Content Update affected sites)

AI Content Strategy
The site heavily utilises AI-generated content for its articles, summaries, and even social media posts. Crucially, they are transparent about this, with disclaimers stating that articles are generated by AI.

Focus on E-E-A-T
Despite using AI, the site invests heavily in establishing Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E-E-A-T). They hired Adam Shapiro, a former Fox Business news anchor, to provide a “human element” and enhance credibility.

Building a Strong Brand
ainvest.com is more than just an AI content farm. It’s a comprehensive brand with a real product (an AI investment assistant called “Aime”), an active multi-platform social media presence, and a focus on user experience with interactive elements on its pages.

A Methodical, Not Lazy, Approach
The speaker emphasises that this success is not from a “lazy” AI content strategy. It’s a methodical, well-funded, brand-intensive playbook that combines AI scale with human credibility, strong branding, and a genuine product.
