TikTok is on the verge of a ban in US and after 19th Jan, just in couple of days from now it will no longer be available for users in USA. As of me writing this its 12th Jan and right now there are not much chances of ban not actually going through.
Most likely Tiktok will be unavilable in US post 19th Jan and on the same day its inauguration of president Trump, He might come in and make the decision to reverse the ban but we just need to wait and see what happens.
But what is interesting to see for me is – What’s going to happen to all the presence of TikTok in Google’s Search results.
As I posted on X and LinkedIn – TikTok is everywhere in Google’s US results.
And Google’s AI Overviews also cite TikTok videos sometimes …
What would happen to all this presence?
Is TikTok will be 404 status code page in US post the ban on 19th Jan
Or there will be a msg on all their pages.
We just need to wait and see!
